Brightening Lives and Walls: Gran Kaz at English River Home
On Monday, 27th January 2025, the team at Gran Kaz dedicated their time and resources to brighten the lives of the residents at English River Home for the Elderly. The initiative, part of Gran Kaz’s ongoing “10 for 10” campaign, combined financial support with hands-on volunteer efforts to make a meaningful difference.
Staff from Gran Kaz arrived early in the morning, ready to work. The day’s activities included landscaping the grounds and painting the compound’s walls, giving the home a much-needed facelift. Unlike traditional monetary donations, Gran Kaz took a tailored approach, using the funds to purchase supplies and materials for the work and reserving the remaining amount from the SCR 20,000 donation to create personalized care packages for the residents
Gran Kaz’s PR Manager, Shama Amesbury, emphasized the significance of combining action with support:
“Providing financial assistance is important, but getting directly involved allows us to create a deeper connection. By working side by side, we can leave a lasting impact—not just through donations, but by truly showing we care.”
The day was both productive and fulfilling for the volunteers. While the physical work was exhausting, it was evident that everyone left with a sense of accomplishment and joy.
