Giving Back with Heart: Gran Kaz’s Day at La Retraite Home for the Elderly
Victoria, Seychelles – Monday, 20th January 2025 - La Retraite Home for the Elderly witnessed a day of generosity and community spirit as Gran Kaz made a significant contribution both financially and through direct action. In a small ceremony held at the home, Gran Kaz handed over a donation of SCR20,000 to the Home Administrator, Ms. Lindy Rouccou. The funds will be used for minor repairs urgently needed to improve the living conditions of the residents.
The donation ceremony was attended by 18 Gran Kaz staff members who didn’t just come to witness the event but also got their hands dirty, quite literally, to make a tangible difference. They spent the day engaged in landscaping work, cutting grass, trimming trees and bushes, and tidying the flowerbeds around the home. Additionally, several staff members volunteered to clean some of the residents' homes, ensuring a cleaner and more comfortable environment for the elderly.
Gran Kaz’s PR Manager, Shama Amesbury, emphasized the importance of blending financial support with active community involvement:
