On Wednesday 11th June, Kenwyn House Gallery opened its doors to an intimate and moving exhibition titled “The World Through My Eyes”, a heartfelt showcase of artwork created by children and young adults on the autism spectrum. Hosted by Gran Kaz in partnership with Autism Seychelles, the exhibition brings awareness to autism through the universal language of art, encouraging the community to see the world from a different, deeply meaningful perspective.

The exhibition features original pieces from six young artists whose work reflects their unique experiences and creative interpretations of the world:

Each piece on display is a window into the artist’s personal world—filled with colour, emotion, imagination, and honesty. The theme “The World Through My Eyes” invites viewers to slow down and witness the world through the lens of neurodiversity—highlighting the beauty that can be found in different ways of thinking, feeling, and seeing.

During the launch, Gran Kaz also took the opportunity to make a donation of SCR 20,000 to Autism Seychelles, an organisation with whom they partnered to bring this meaningful project to life. The donation will support the organisation’s ongoing work in empowering individuals on the spectrum and advocating for greater inclusion and understanding in Seychelles.

“Much like artists, people on the spectrum see the world in a vastly more unique way than neurotypical individuals,” shared Gran Kaz PR Manager, Shama Amesbury during the opening remarks. “Through this exhibition, we hoped to explore that perspective—and what we’ve found is nothing short of magical.”

Since opening the Kenwyn House Gallery in 2018, Gran Kaz has consistently used the space to foster creativity and encourage social dialogue—hosting exhibitions and initiatives that focus not only on art, but on issues that matter. From highlighting men's mental health to now raising awareness around autism, Gran Kaz continues to leverage the arts as a tool for connection, education, and empowerment.

Gran Kaz extends its heartfelt thanks to the participating artists and their families, Autism Seychelles, and all those who attended the launch for making the event a true celebration of art, empathy, and community.
