Gran Kaz Supports Pet Haven Seychelles with SCR 50,000 Donation to Create Safer, Healthier Spaces for Rescued Animals

Animals

True compassion is about dignity — for abandoned animals this can mean clean, dry spaces,  room to move and play, and environments where healing can happen safely. Guided by this belief, Gran Kaz has extended its support to Pet Haven Seychelles with a donation of SCR 50,000, contributing to a range of upgrades aimed at improving the daily lives of rescued animals.

Rather than supporting a single project, the donation will help Pet Haven advance several interconnected initiatives that strengthen animal welfare as a whole. These improvements focus on creating safer living quarters, reducing health risks, and ensuring that animals are cared for in spaces that offer both comfort and love. From easing overcrowding through improved kennel facilities to strengthening drainage systems that protect animals during periods of heavy rain, each upgrade plays a role in building a more resilient and humane shelter environment.

At the heart of these developments is a strong emphasis on health and prevention. Plans include the creation of dedicated medical isolation areas for new arrivals or unwell animals, helping to limit the spread of serious illnesses and ensuring vulnerable animals can recover safely. Upgraded flooring that can be properly disinfected will further improve hygiene standards, while the restoration of on-site veterinary facilities will allow essential procedures such as spaying, neutering, and emergency care to be carried out directly at the shelter.

Equally important is the emotional wellbeing of the animals. Pet Haven’s vision includes outdoor areas where dogs can exercise, socialise, and release energy in a safe, enclosed setting — an essential part of maintaining mental health and positive behaviour. Calm, welcoming meet-and-greet spaces will also offer potential adopters the opportunity to connect with animals in a relaxed environment, helping to build trust and increase the chances of successful, lasting adoptions.

For Gran Kaz, supporting these initiatives reflects a broader commitment to compassion-led community development. By investing in infrastructure that protects health, enhances safety, and promotes wellbeing, the company is helping to create a space where rescued animals are not simply housed, but genuinely cared for.

Because when animals feel safe, healthy, and loved, their journey toward a forever home begins on stronger footing — and the entire community benefits.
